Spencer's First Plane Ride

I am happy to report we all survived Spencer's first plane ride. Last Thursday we flew to Boca Raton, FL to visit with family for a long weekend and despite some delays on the runway on BOTH legs of our trip we all seemed to do pretty well. Now, I don't know about anyone else but before having a baby, I would get on a flight and cringe if a baby was seated near me. Fearful that all I would hear the whole flight was crying. Boy have I changed my attitude since having a baby. Now, I can totally understand what every parent goes through when flying and the stress that can go along with it.

That said, I was for sure Spencer would scream the whole time but he surprised us and was a very good boy. Really, he ended up sleeping and playing most of the flight. I will not lie, we did have a few crying spells but they were short lived and we got through it with just a few looks from nearby passengers. We were lucky enough to use Bill's flight points that he has received for business trips to upgrade our seats for both legs of our trip so flying business class made the trip even easier. Although things went pretty smoothly, I can't say I am ready to get on a plane tomorrow with Spencer. It's hard work!
