In Honor of My Furry Baby

Poor Mia! As much as we try, she just never seems to get as much attention these days! I promised myself this would NEVER happen as she was always "the baby" before we had Spencer. So, I figured I would honor her today and dedicate a blog post solely to her!

Mia is a 6 year old black and white Shit-Tzu! I have had her since she was 6 weeks old so I really do consider her my baby. We will fully admit she is high maintenance but we love her for it :-) She has the sweetest temperament and is so loving. She has never met a piece of skin she didn't like to lick :-)

Mia loves to take walks even though we have not taken many the past month or so because of the heat. She loves to play catch, especially with old socks, and she loves to nap in the sun. Mia loves eggs, cheese and turkey hot dogs. She gets scraps in her bowl from time to time as a treat.

Mia has acquired MANY nick names over the years......moo-moo, moofie, moois, moof pie, duppy, little miss woogums, noopsie, doug, douglas, douggy, moomoo pupadupolus, moofleberry fin, just to name a few :-)

Mia has been such a great big sister to Spencer! They love each other so much and I have to admit this is a huge relief. My biggest fear was that we would encounter jealously problems with her once Spencer came home but it was just the opposite. Mia is so protective of Spencer and it is rare that she is not by his side or at least in the same room. I cannot wait until Spencer is big enough to really play with her.
