It's a known fact and an ongoing joke in my family that I have not a crafty bone in my body and the artistic talent of a kindergartner. I swear, at the age of 31, I still have problems cutting a straight line!
With that I said this may come as a big surprise to you but I got inspired to do a "craft"!!!!
In my quest to find all things preppy and monogrammed (see post below), I came across covered/decorative wipe cases. They were super cute and you could of course have them personalized for more money. Trying to say on budget, these cases were what I felt were overpriced and I quickly moved on in my search. That is, until I came across instructions on how to make the case myself!
While I still felt inspired and confident that I could complete this project, I asked Bill to watch Spencer and I went out to get my supplies (including iron on letters to monogram the cases-of course). And, the minute I got home I got started. Bill and I actually had a good laugh that I was actually doing something crafty, it just does not EVER happen! I completed my first case in no time...it looked pretty rough and I knew where I had made some mistakes so after dinner, I made another! This one came out much better. I still have a long way to go but surprisingly, I enjoy this project and I hope to perfect the cases so I can give them as gifts!
Here's a look at my very first two cases:
This was my first attempt
And the second one!
Wow! I am impressed. Looks awesome!
